Did You Know? Polar Bears Aren’t White

This is not a joke. I repeat, this is not a joke.

👻 Polar bears aren’t white. In fact, polar bear fur is transparent. Like clear plastic, glass, and acrylic. Their skin? It’s between a dark brown and black.

☀️ Why is it transparent you ask? Well, let’s just say god used a lot of brain power when “designing” animals. Transparent hair allows easier heat conduction to the skin, while the skin is also dark colored, it absorbs all the heat to warm up. They are truly, soaking up every bit of sun juice as possible!

🙀Whatever we see with our eyes is just a reflection of sunlight hitting back from its fur.

🔦SPOTLIGHT: Our eyes can be deceiving. Polar bear fur is transparent in nature, allowing better survival in the arctics. The white color we see is a reflection of sunlight. They are really brown on the inside.
